Over the last several years The wildlife Group along with Dr. Billy Dozier(Auburn University Head Horticulturist & fruit tree expert)has been searching for top pear varieties.Pear varieties for wildlife that have long sustained and proven drop times.Through a process of elimination we have selected four top varieties that we are ready to release to our customers. These pears have been growing here at the nursery and will be available to you this coming planting season. They will be offered in a package of all four varieties that will drop fruit from late sept until early December. Why Pears?
> Pears are the easiest fruit tree to grow
> Pears are very Disease Resistant
> Pears can be planted in many different types of soils
> Pears are very consistent producers
Bareroot packages are sold out!!! We do still have the Pears in 7 gallon & 15 gallon containers. The container pears produced this season. We can ship to a business address via Southeastern Freight....
Quantities will be limited so place your orders early to insure availability!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also for everyone that has trees planted in the Plantra Jump start tubes. When fall arrives and the temperatures start dropping ants will migrate to the warmth of the tubes. If you allow them to build the mounds inside the tubes it can damage and possibly kill your trees.Be preventive and spread ant bait around the trees.Do this at least a couple of times in the next two months and you should have no problem. One last reminder on the tubes . Please don't just walk up and grab them and look down inside during the summer months.Wasp are notorious for building nest inside .Believe me I learned from experience.
